WebGL compatibility

Web browsers

WebGL is compatible with the following browser :

Firefox 4.0 and upper version,
Chrome 7.0 and upper,
Safari 5.1 and upper (WebGL should be enabled in the configuration menu),
Opera 11.5 beta and upper
Internet Explorer with the Google Frame or the IEWebgl plugin.

Graphic cards and computers power

Graphic drivers must be up to date (Windows update does not do that). This is particularly true for Windows XP and Vista users.

It is better to have a dedicated graphic card and a recent computer. Computers which are too old (before 2008) might have some difficulties to display most of the Webgl applications. It also depends on the configuration.

If you do not manage to display webgl applications on your computer, first update your graphics drivers, then retry with Chrome and Firefox.

Smartphones and Tablets

Some smartphones like the Nokia N900 already implements webgl. As a general rule, most of smartphones and tablets working on iOs or Android are going to support webgl soon
